There is certainly no shortage of "experts" when it comes to Active Shooter training. This can make it very daunting to decide who is the real deal. Do not rely on a person's profession alone. Simply because someone is a Police Officer does not mean they are qualified in Active Shooter Preparation or Education, frankly the vast majority are not. Request what their certifications are. What specific training and licensing do they have in Active Shooter Awareness. Next, what is their experience in Active Shooter training; did they just attend a class and yet never actually worked in the Active Shooter Field or did they spend extensive time in an Active Shooter Program? When in doubt, ask to see their resume, make them put their background in writing, it's your money and your life that's at stake.
Lastly, if an instructor ever says "my way is the best way", get a refund right now!!!
Because we are a nonprofit we rely on donations and grants to help keep our training costs down. Costs will be based upon the length of the training and any associated travel expenses depending on your location in the country. We do not charge a per person fee. Contact us to get a personal quote for your specific needs.
Because we don't believe in a one size fits all approach we tailor our training to your schedule. We recommend at least an hour for a basic Active Shooter awareness level class. If you want a little more depth on how to prepare for an Active Shooter, then usually two hours is good. To add hands on training or for us to go through helping you build your organizations specific Active Shooter plans we may need between 4-8 hours. Contact us and we can work with you to tailor our services to exactly meet your needs.
Simple, just click on the contact us tab and send us a message. This is usually the best way to reach us. Or call us at (850) 499-7123 to schedule an instructor for your upcoming event or meeting.
Because we utilize donations or grants to provide our community preparation programs, attendance at our community presentations is usually free.
There are several things you can do to help with our goal of educating the community and preventing future Active Shooters. First, spread the word about our training. The more people we can reach the more impact we can make. Second, host a training session. Whether it's your business, church, or community group. Lastly, DONATE. We rely on donations and grants to be able to provide this critical Active Shooter training to the community and keep our costs low for all.
