Over 23 years in military and civilian law enforcement training, with  expansive experience as an instructor, advisor, and team leader. Multiple combat deployments and several years on various EST/SRT/Tactical teams has given extensive high risk operations experience. Majority of career  has been spent providing advanced level training for military and police agencies. Currently runs one of the largest Active Shooter training programs in the country, providing active shooter training to both law enforcement and private citizens in the surrounding community. Has developed expert knowledge of Active Shooter behaviors, patterns, and psychology in order to prevent attacks. Certified training instructor by the US Military specializing in weapons and tactics training; hand selected to teach at several military training centers. Has an extensive background in terrorism awareness and instruction on threat assessments, security assessments, and the development of mitigation plans.

2008-Present - Police Officer/Active Shooter Program Coordinator, Memphis Police Department, Memphis TN 

Active Shooter Training Coordinator for the Memphis region. Works closely with the FBI and local agencies to provide standardized active shooter training throughout the area.

Advises department command staff on Active Shooter policy and response procedures. 

Named by ALERRT as leader of the largest active shooter program in the country for 2014, certifying over 2,200 officers from 18 regional agencies in ALERRT Lv1.

Conducts civilian training for the local community on Active Shooter Awareness. Routinely leads large scale multi-agency active shooter drills with community partners.

Works with local businesses, schools, and churches to advise on Active Shooter preparation and education.

Created the city's Active Shooter Incident Management training for law enforcement command staff and Integrated Response Plan for police/Fire/EMS.

Conducts both basic and advanced firearms instruction for 2,500 police officers ranging from basic police recruits thru seasoned tactical officers. 

2015-2017 - Adjunct Active Shooter Instructor

Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training, Texas State University 

Senior Instructor, Provided ALERRT Lv1 Basic Active Shooter Response, Exterior Response Active Shooter Event, Active Shooter Awareness, and Civilian Response Active Shooter Event training to law enforcement officers around the country. 

Performed multiple audits on training agencies and programs throughout the United States to share current "best practices" with instructors and ensure training was standardized nationally.

1996-Present - U.S. Air Force

2015-Present -  Tactical Air Control Party, Joint Terminal Attack Controller

Provides Close Air Support for ground maneuver units, providing terminal control for precision air strikes

2003-2015 - Security Forces Combat Skills Instructor 

Assisted in the creation of the Air National Guard's Active Shooter Response program, developing tactics and procedures for responding to Active Shooter Threats. Created DOD’s first Active Shooter Awareness training program to inform base populace on actions to take when faced with a threat.

Lead Instructor at Pre-Deployment training center; responsible for providing critical combat training for over 1,200 students annually. Assisted in the development of Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) course and CQB training. Providing realistic force on force training.

Assigned to Anti-Terrorism Officer Mobile Training Team. Certified new Anti-Terrorism Officers in conducting threat and vulnerability assessments, mitigation procedures, and terrorism tactics.
